Can you truly be happily married and live in a different home from your spouse? The other day, I was engaged in a conversation with a woman whose husband does not live with her. I bet your wondering how the HELL can you have a marriage, be “happily married” and not live together.  Well according to her it is an arrangement that is perfect for their marriage. Their reason behind the 2 separate homes is for business purposes, they are both CEO’s of demanding companies one in California and the other in Atlanta.  They do take turns flying out to be with each other and make their schedules work as much as possible.  The underlying thing that I am taking from this is you both have to be willing to make it work. This of course is not your typical marriage situation however, there are marriages that exist with these living arrangements. We all know that absence makes the heart grow fonder and distance should never separate true love.

True Love in a long distance marriage stands strong on these few things:

1.      Facetime/Skype Dates

2.      Intimate texting

3.      Purposeful packages

4.      Leaving hidden love notes

5.      Endless pillow talk

All and all couples will do what it takes to make a marriage work.  If it requires 2 separate homes then so be it. I personally don’t want that to be my story but I respect the work put in to have that long lasting love.

Until Next Time….
